About Me

I’ve been a book lover for as long as I can remember, which led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in English at the University of São Paulo in 2017. But I haven’t just read stories; I’ve been writing my own since I was around 12.

While at university, pumped up by my own writing, I focused on literary analysis, especially horror, sci-fi, and fantasy — genres that I have always been interested on. These studies made me fall in love with the art of storytelling and, thus, I knew I wanted to work with books somewhere in my life. After graduating, I changed paths a bit and became an English teacher, because the editorial scenario in Brazil was not that good.

 

Teaching was something I loved, but I knew it wasn't what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So, I used my knowledge and skills in copy editing and proofreading to work with authors worldwide on side projects in my spare time.

When I started offering extracurricular creative writing courses to my students, I realized I wanted to take my editing further. I gathered courage and came up with a plan to fulfill my dream of working with books full-time and become a developmental editor as well.

By early 2025, I turned that passion into a full-time career. I'm glad to say that, today, I work with writers at every stage of their manuscripts, from simple grammar checks to full review of character arcs and plot structure.

 

My goal is always the same: to help authors make their stories shine.
